Lots of Snow and Lots of Photos This Past Week.

It's been snowing a lot up here in D.C. I've never seen snow stick longer than a day, ha ha. It's kind of cool, hopefully I'll be going outside later today to take some snow photos.

This past week has been a really hectic one, I was in El Paso for some events the Congressman had, and to work on an ARRA video I'll be producing. I got to see my family, so that was good. I have a lot of photos to go through and edit, but here are a few of my favorites.

The New Year

It's been a while since my last post, I guess I've just been really busy as of late. I haven't really had much time for shooting, or much time for anything. I know I've resolved to make more of an effort to blog and shoot more but I have not been good about that.

I did get a chance to go shoot some photos of Dara Shen, a boxer at the Alexandria Boxing Club. I did manage to capture an image that I really liked. I'm not really that experienced in sports photography, so it's been a little bit of a challenge for me.

I'm short on words today, but I do plan to write more, it's another one of my New Year resolutions. Until then, enjoy my portrait of Dara Shen.

Field Laborer part 2

Look at the first five images beneath this post.

Start Shooting More

So I've come to the realization that I need to start shooting more, so that's what I plan to do.

I worked with my father as a field laborer for a day. Most of these people are either legal or illegal immigrants and work for 50 dollars a day, which is a significant amount more than they make in a day in their home country. They work 8 hours a day in the scorching sun tilling the soil and picking crop.
